

Lower School Program, July 27-August 7 (¥45,000 + ¥1,000 for school
cap)
Open to children who are comfortable in an all-English environment and can keep up with the
many outdoor activities and events. If you’re unsure whether your child will be suited to the
program, please talk to Janina.
Upper School Program, July 27-August 8 (¥46,000 + ¥1,000 for school cap)
The upper school program follows the same format as the lower school program, except for
the final day, which starts later and involves a party and sleepover.
Two levels:
Fluent speakers, fluent readers. For children, aged 7 and above, who speak, read and
write fluently.
Fluent readers, English learners. For children who can read in English
and communicate in English without resorting to Japanese.
Schedule:
Lower and Upper School: 10:00-15:00, Monday July 27- August 6.
Lower School: August 7 - 10:00-15:00, parents are invited for closing ceremonies from
14:00 on August 7.
Upper School: August 7 - 15:30-11a.m. August 8. Sleepover at school. Parents are invited
for closing ceremonies from 10a.m. August 8.
Monday July 27: Introductions, warm-ups and team building.
Friday August 1: Annual Treasure Hunt. Pick up from Ajisai Park at 15:00.
Wednesday August 5: Summer school trip. There may be an extra charge for
train fares and entrance fees.
Friday August 7: Lower school lunch party and parent’s day. Upper school late start and
sleepover.
Our usual summer school crew of Janina, Kim, Mana and Okusan will be joined by Justin, and
we’ll also have a younger assistant teacher to help out with chasing kids in the park!
Program Size:
Lower school: 12
Upper school: 14
Note: If enrollment exceeds places, we’ll allocate places to 5 day children first, followed by 2
afternoon children, and finally one day a week children. We may be able to add another teacher
and increase the program size if necessary.
