Welcome to Kobe Bilingual School (KOBILS).

Welcome to Kobe Bilingual School (KOBILS). An alternative to international school, we offer a comprehensive program for Japanese, mixed and international children aged 3-15 who are fluent or developing fluency in English.

Graduates of our Kindergarten program can choose to enter international or local Japanese elementary schools. While children who complete our 9 or 12 year international program can aim to enter either of Kobe’s two large international schools, private junior high schools with specialist English programs, specialist public senior high schools (SELHIS), boarding schools in English speaking countries, or just use their English skills to improve their knowledge of the world and enhance their careers and life-styles.

Whatever choices our students make, KOBILS offers a unique and supportive learning environment that helps children in regular Japanese education develop bilingualism and a life-long love of learning.
