Rainforest/bird/savannah animals...

June 23, 2008 00:14 by janina

We finally finished our files with this month's topics in them. We studied rainforest and jungle, African savannah and birds. Here's what we did!

This is a close up of the front cover of one child's file.

Here's the back. We painted the rainforest by dipping small branches of leaves in green paint. Then we stuck rainforest animals in the right places (or almost the right places!)... on the forest floor, in the canopy or in the tree tops.

Inside we made an African savannah and cut out and made animals to play there.

And you can see the books we made in the right side pocket and our measuring snakes too on the left.

Also there are some pictures of birds we saw when we visited the bird park in Kobe.

It was a big project. We still have a few bits and bobs to finish up and then on Wednesday we'll move to the ocean with our new theme!
