And it stopped raining today so we finally went out to collect leaves to finish our snake habitats. This project took about two weeks. First we made our own clay from flour, salt and water and made it into snake shapes.

Then we painted our boxes green to make the habitat.

We learned about
how animals use camouflage to keep safe or to help them hunt by reading
books and looking at animals on the Internet. Then we went outside and
collected leaves, sticks, stones and other things to make our snake
habitats. Next we painted our snakes.

And, last of all, we made their camouflage homes. Can you see them hiding in their habitats?
