Pimpkin carving today in Kindy. Then we roasted the pumpkin seeds with brown sugar. Yum!

We hiked over the mountain between Momyamadai and Ajisai Koen. We got a bit lost and hit some dead ends but it was fun! And then we had fun on the slides and played baseball and...

It's September. We watch the moon. And, for the first time, the moon showed up right on schedule for our moon-viewing picnic. Thanks Mr. Moon.

Typhoon discovery project: We missed a Saturday because of the typhoon so this week we had a make-up class. We learned all about typhoons in our hands-on project. And Justin shot a video of us doing "I read to you, you read to me" reader's theater. It'll be on KobilsTV soon!

We raised almost ¥200,000 in our Reading Marathon! We'll publish the final figure soon. And we had fun celebrating that at Family Fun Day. The treasure hunt was hot but we rescued that treasure eventually! Thanks to those who turned out the second time and our fantastic students who put on a great show!

We were scheduled to go to the pool but... rain rain go away... So with no plans at all, we stayed at school and just opened the toy cupboards and the craft closet. It was so nice to see the kids having such a great time amusing themselves with board games, traditional toys and making their own crafts.  Justin played along with them and I took photos and updated this blog. We'd been sad about the rain but actually it turned out to be a fun fun day after all.
