EFL Course

Beginner = Two days a week (3 hours)

Beginners starting in first or second grade enroll in our two day a week program over three hours on two days so they are really able to kick-start their English learning experience. One day is primarily a speaking and listening topic based class, and the other day a pre-reading/writing course with a phonics based approach. Real progress in a fun environment is our mission!

In the first term or two we aim to immerse children in English while doing a number of English activities, playing games and doing some textbook based study bursts. Unlike traditional Eikaiwa courses that aim to have children producing perfect sentences one by one after each lesson, our early program focuses on improving listening skills and increasing vocabulary without aiming to teach full sentence grammar or pushing the children to produce specific patterns or sentences. Once the children are familiar with English sounds and have picked up a little vocabulary, we introduce more textbook based study that aims to help them.

Pre-Intermediate = One or two days (1.5 - 3 hours)

Children who have studied English before and are well on their way to building good English skills may choose to enroll on one or two days a week. They will attend class at the same time as the beginner children and will engage in similar activities but will also leave the main class for specific English study at their own level. In this way increased fluency and understanding of English in an informal environment compliments their study based classes.

All children must take reading/writing classes.
